at the white house
I’m an impatient person, and expect instant outcomes. You’d think I would have learned by now.

While yesterday’s meeting at the White House definitely did not provide instant outcomes, there was genuine effort given by the administration to connect in multiple ways with the forty Pittsburghers present. Some excellent speakers and panelists brought us up to speed on economic, transportation and other issues. It was an informal and friendly meeting and people had a chance to make comments and engage in discussion.
My favorite part of the day (besides seeing President Obama speak in the morning) was a round-table discussion with just twelve of us at the end of the day. Ari Matusiak, Executive Director of the White House Business Council, led this session and here, finally, we connected some dots. He challenged us to think further and bring our ideas back to the administration.
I’m looking forward to it.
